What Is Erotic Living?
Erotic Living is the intentional integration of erotic intelligence—your Other EQ—into daily life. It’s how we move from surviving to thriving by cultivating erotic presence, intuitive embodiment, and spiritual aliveness. It’s sipping tea with reverence, breathing into your hips between meetings, journaling your desires unapologetically, and choosing softness over shame.
Within the erotic liberation path of the erotic embodiment practice, Healing the Erotic Self (HTES), eroticism isn’t exclusive to your sex life. It’s feeling connected to your breath, your body, your desires, your spirit, and your aliveness throughout the day, every day. This is what I call erospirituality—the sacred fusion of your sexuality and spirituality that grounds you in your truth and liberates you from “the Defaults” (oppressive societal and sexual norms). Rooted in somatics, spirituality, and eroticism, Erotic Living reclaims your erotic self as a daily source of power, not the shadow of shame.

Erotic Living Is a Political Act
As Audre Lorde reminds us, “The erotic is a measure between the beginnings of our sense of self and the chaos of our strongest feelings.” Erotic Living is healing justice in motion. It’s anti-capitalist, anti-shame, and deeply rooted in reclaiming the right to feel—to feel deeply, freely, and unapologetically erotic.
For BIPOC, queer, trans, and sexually-marginalized folks, Erotic Living is more than healing—it is an act of thriving, self-love, and spiritual revolution and most importantly-- erotic reclamation. This understanding literally saved my life.
From Performance to Presence
Living erotically means being present, not performative.
In our SHIFT Self-Liberation Practice, with guided breath and erotic mindfulness, we return to the body through:
Grounding: Acknowledging what you feel and where you feel it
Centering: Asking clarifying questions like: “Who am I centering right now?”
Nurturing: Intuitively choosing somatic and/or erosomatic practices that support your sense of Self via your nervous system and your spirit.
Affirming: Speaking truth to shame and energetically transforming shame to embodied safety with erotic affirmations like: “My desires are sacred.”
This presence practice creates a foundation for daily erotic embodiment, not just peak moments.
That embodiment in your lovership.

From shame-driven disconnection to joy-driven intimacy.Pleasure becomes a spiritual practice.
Your embodiment becomes the altar.
Your breath becomes the prayer.
To live erotically is to say: “I deserve to feel. I deserve to heal. I deserve to be whole.”
Erotic intelligence requires emotional and somatic intelligence.
As the other EQ, erotic intelligence requires us to imagine more.
This creative imagination is the liberation of the “both/and”, an invitation to what I call-
erotic curiosity.

Begin Your Erotic Living Journey
Here are three erotic micro-practices I recommend to my clients and professional students to begin integrating the erotic into their care:
🔸 Morning Simple Erosomatic Check-In: Before emails, breathe. Notice a texture, a scent, or a sound that feels good. Relax your jaws then relax your shoulders then exhale “ahhhhhhh”.
🔸 Midday Mirror Gaze with Erotic Affirmations: Look into your eyes and say, “I am erotic. I am worthy.”
🔸 Evening Erospiritual Ritual: Combine breathwork, an erotic intention, gentle movement and somatic witnessing then journal reflections.
Each of these is a sacred act of the Erotic Presence Practice, Your Lovership.
Daily practices like these eventually expands your ability to love & trust yourself…and others.
